Re: Xbox Series X Ranked RedSec Freezing
Hello! I play on Xbox Series X, and ever since the last update a few weeks ago, myself and -every- Xbox player I know has been REPEATEDLY “freeze crashing”.
Whether it be on the main menu, while match making, or whilst in-game. We all play competitively on Gauntlet/REDSEC.
Myself and my friends are all in the Top 500(on the tracker.gg leaderboards) on Gauntlet within the USA and globally. Everyone who plays these game modes knows that if you leave mid-game on either? You cannot just simply get back into the lobby, you have to wait until the next match or everyone must leave and reset. Which is entirely frustrating when EACH crash is considered a “loss” on your record. One of my friends was even BANNED for 7 days due to crashing multiple times in REDSEC ranked! but it’s not even his fault! It’s this stupid update’s fault.
I have tried everything I can possibly think of to help solve this issue on my end, such as clearing the cache(5 times), deleting all HUD texture packs for single player + multiplayer + REDSEC, clearing all reserved data on my Xbox, turning off HDR in my video mode settings, as well as in-game settings like turning off all motion-blur, film gain, chromatic aberration, etc. and as a last resort?? I UNINSTALLED and reinstalled the game itself.
NOTHING fixes it!!! I have crashed 8 different times today alone. Usually I crash between 5-20 times PER session. It’s ridiculous and unplayable. I’m at the point of uninstalling and not playing anymore period, especially as there is absolutely zero mention of this bug even existing in the patch-notes for the Season 4 release coming on July 21st.
