Request for Improved Support for ESDF Key Configuration in Battlefield

Dear Dice / Battlefield Development Team,

I hope this message finds you well.

I would like to kindly bring to your attention an issue affecting players who use the ESDF key configuration instead of the traditional WASD setup. Many players, including myself, prefer ESDF as it provides access to an additional column of keys for the pinky finger — which is particularly useful given the extensive number of keybinds required in Battlefield titles.

Unfortunately, certain in-game menu functions (such as those triggered by E and Q) interfere with this configuration. For example, while waiting to respawn during a match, my muscle memory often causes me to unintentionally switch characters or trigger unwanted actions. This becomes frustrating over time and disrupts the gameplay experience.

I would greatly appreciate it if the team could consider providing a fix or an exception for ESDF users to avoid such conflicts in future updates. This issue has also been present in earlier titles like Battlefield Hardline, where similar problems occurred (e.g., holding E to accelerate at the start of a battle could cause an unintended vehicle exit until custom keybinds were fully loaded).
