Significant Visual Regression following February Patch (BF6)
Issue Summary:
Since the February patch, I have experienced a massive downgrade in visual fidelity. Terrain textures, building assets, and foliage appear significantly lower in resolution, resembling "potato" quality regardless of the settings used. The game currently looks visually inferior to previous titles in the franchise.
Troubleshooting Performed:
- Cycled through all in-game graphical presets (Low to Ultra).
- Performed a full factory reset of in-game settings.
- Verified game files and reinstalled the latest update.
- Clean driver installation (DDU) to ensure no conflicts.
System Environment:
- GPU: RTX 4090 OC
- CPU: i7-11700K
- Resolution/Refresh: 1440p @ 280Hz & 4k @ 120Hz
- Connection: 1000/400 Fibre
Observations:
The issue persists even with high VRAM overhead available. It appears the engine is failing to stream in high-resolution assets, leaving low-poly LOD (Level of Detail) models and muddy textures permanently on-screen. This is a significant hit to immersion and clarity in a high-refresh-rate environment.
If this is a deliberate developer decision to downgrade the game's visuals for all players, it needs to be addressed. We should have the option to use the high-quality assets our hardware is capable of running.
