Ultimate Shortcut Kit Content Error?

So I've purchased the GOTY upgrade for Batlefiled 6 but only about 50% of the base weapons have gone up to level 50. The KV-9 and TR-7 haven't. Is this upgrade suppose to apply to every base weapon?

  • Hey! I looked into this, and fortunately, it doesn't seem to be a bug.

The Ultimate Shortcut Kit included with the GOTY Upgrade doesn't actually bring every base-game weapon to level 50.

According to the official Xbox Store description, it includes 28 weapons with 100% Mastery, divided into four class-specific Shortcut Kits (7 weapons per class), along with 8 vehicles and additional unlocks.

The KV-9 and TR-7 aren't among the weapons included in those kits, so unfortunately, they won't be automatically upgraded.

EA also has an official guide explaining that the Ultimate Shortcut Kit combines the four individual class kits and doesn't unlock absolutely everything.

You can check the contents here:

    https://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/store/ultimate-shortcut-kit-battlefield-6-and-redsec/9nk018qdht5q

That said, I do think EA could have made this much clearer in the GOTY Upgrade description.

When you purchase something called the "Ultimate Shortcut Kit," it's pretty reasonable to assume that all base-game weapons would be included, especially when the marketing emphasizes fully upgraded weapons.

Unfortunately, that's not quite what they're selling.

Hopefully this clears things up and saves you some unnecessary troubleshooting! 😅

Just be careful if you're planning to open a dispute through PayPal. EA warns that chargebacks or payment disputes can potentially result in account restrictions or even a permanent ban. I'm not saying it will necessarily happen, but I wouldn't risk my entire EA account over this.

Regarding the Ultimate Shortcut Kit, you can also find its contents listed directly on EA's official store:

    https://store.ea.com/battlefield/en/bundle/ultimate-shortcut-kit

The contents are also displayed in the in-game store, where you can check the individual Shortcut Kits for each class.

I previously shared the Xbox Store link simply because it was the first one I found, but the information is also available directly from EA, so there's no need to rely on the Xbox listing.

  • I think this is a really bad beahaviour. Nowhere in the pc release it is written that only some weapons will be upgraded. The message clearly hide this. This is not what i have bought. Ill try to ask a refund to paypal.

If i will have success i will let you knwo how to do this.

Hello Crow, thanks for the reply and confirmation. The advertising for the GOTY is somewhat misleading as its very easy to think all base weapons are upgraded. Typical EA I guess.

    Thanks, Tim
