Sure would be nice to have a patch update that didn’t mess up controller keybinds. Last two were ok, but we’re back to the 2042-start-my-game-after-update-and-why-aren’t-my-buttons-working!? again. Don’t understand why this is even a thing.

Opened for a quick game after long download. Whoosh, no key binds. I cant be bothered resetting all of the binds required. So considering how little fun the game is, have just deleted it.
I might reinstall when its finally sorted out.

I dont change too many, but still makes me really pissed off. How is this not a simple checks and balance for all developers - especially ones that been making games for decades. Key binds... I'd rather not be able to find a match for 3 hours than have my keybinds reset.

This is an horrible experience.
How can they force all customers to reset their keybindings in 2025.
It takes so long to setup and try to remember the mapping... rather quit the game that facing this at every update.
EA_Leeuw / EA_Rtas could we have an official response on this please ? Will a patch be pushed urgently to restore the Keybinds ? Or are we stick to setup everything by ourselves again ?
It would be worth to know before spending hours on it. I'd rather not play today and wait if a patch will be deployed shortly to restore Keybinds.

I cant seem to set my zero key for the range finder to my left click (fire) button anymore either.
Ya know, the fact that this is the problem that it is says a few things.
1) The settings across the board (keybinds/game/graphics/ui etc) are entirely too complex and sophisticated...a keybind reset snafu shouldn't be the hassle that it is, but it is because they've made it entirely too molecular and messy. I STILL can't figure out which aim sensitivity setting or control is actually the one that means anything...
2) Developers haven't seemed to understand that if they're going to go with the above elaborate settings scenario....then those settings need to be treated like a sacred untouchable object. It really is a huge quality of life feature that I cannot for the life of me understand why isn't not a gaming standard across the board...
3) Preparing to play a game shouldn't take hours...it shouldn't require walkthroughs, tutorials or you tube videos...it should be intuitive and simple. Anything more is a mess and caters to control freaks who can't let their food touch. Those people will ruin every good meal btw. Your performance in a game shouldn't rely on your settings...it should rely on your performance.
Just jumping in to remind DICE that the LITERAL WORST DEVS IN THE WORLD (Gaijin Entertainment) have a fix for this: leave your players keybinds alone after an update, if stuff is broken because you changed the way they work: don't worry, they'll figure it out themselves. If you actively reset them to default, they will get on the forums and complain!
