VRAM leak issue worsened after Season One.

Device name    WIN-D52PPDAKV0F
Processor    AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS w/ Radeon 780M Graphics      (3.80 GHz)
Installed RAM    16.0 GB (15.3 GB usable)
Device ID    108234E9-46B3-4964-85D2-08424DA59D9E
Product ID    00342-22421-08082-AAOEM
System type    64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

Had abnormally fluctuating(in the Graphics sub-menu) and accumulating(during game) VRAM issues before the update. There were days when I could play buttersmooth at 90-120fps for over 45 min without any major issues, whereas there were days when I could not get past the graphics menu telling me the threshhold of VRAM has already been exceeded. Usually it stayed between 4.5-5.5gb in the menu and skyrocketed shortly after starting the game. Quite frankly - the game was unplayable.

Season One: the only graphic setting staying slightly!!! under the VRAM threshold margin is LOW (80fps max). So, for me, low is the new HIGH in terms of VRAM usage. Also the inconsistency: for some reason I could play at HIGH for a couple of minutes without getting the threshold exceeded message, then tried LOW out of curiosity, and voila - after setting it back to HIGH, threshold exceeded considerably occurs. Now, the game is unplayable on steroids.

Been playing since BF3, but knowing EA is soon to be acquired by sadistic, hypocrite despots, all the above is not really an issue. However, since that information hadn't reached my ears while making the purchase, I might as well make good use of that money, I thought. And a thought is all it was.

Time for something new, I guess.

  • It's vital! I have to log back into the game after every match to play comfortably. It's shameful to have such resources and not see the global flaw in the product.

I'm going to play Battlefield 4...

It is vital indeed, but without any response from EA. I'm on RTX 4060 mobile, forgot to mention that.
