Xbox - Game Chat not working

For the past 2 days the in-game chat has not been working, the mic doesn't even register (name doesn't pop up when speaking) I have reset all the settings and toggled them on/off numerous times and still can not get it to work. The mic works perfectly if I join in to an Xbox Party Chat though. 

Anyone else having this issue?
