HOTAS support missing in Battlefield 6 — please clarify x360ce ban risk

Hey DICE team,

I’m disappointed that HOTAS support is broken or incomplete in the full release of Battlefield 6. In the beta there was a visible Joystick tab in the controls, which suggested proper support at launch. Based on that I bought my first HOTAS.

Right now the stick is detected and can be mapped. The throttle moves through menus but cannot be bound to gameplay actions. The joystick section is still in the UI, so this feels unfinished and frankly misleading after the beta.

Many players report that x360ce works by emulating a gamepad so the throttle binds correctly. Before I try it, can you officially confirm whether using x360ce or similar input-mapping tools could trigger anti-cheat bans? It does not modify gameplay, it only merges inputs into a single virtual controller thrustmaster t.16000m fcs.

The game itself is great and really brings back the Battlefield 3 AND 4 vibe. Please consider:

  • Official HOTAS support or merged-device recognition.
  • A clear statement about the ban risk for input emulators like x360ce or TARGET.

Thanks for reading and for an otherwise fantastic release.
