''A beginning'' Dog Tag Dove making a sound but not giving me the Dog Tag

I have spent along time on this as the first part of the multipart Easter Egg, The dove at the end on the windmill did come to me. The dove made the sound the first time didn't the second time and did the sound again the last time, but none of the time I got the Dog Tag.

I have done all steps and the Morse Code Station is red, Here's a list of things I have tried 

  • Restarting the game
  • Retrying the last step (Waiting on the windmill)
  • Going to an official server

There are things that I have not tried though, Notably shooting the Dove. But I can't shoot it because now it is not appearing

I have also seen someone using an ''App'' for equipping the Dog Tag although I do not know what ''App'' he is talking about

    Hi @angry_toast-ofi If memory serves, you should be able to go back, wait for the dove, then jump into it as it flies past. You might want to try posting on the BFEE Discord if that doesn't work, as the people there are usually great at helping with the EEs.

    Also, the app is the BF1 Companion. It's discontinued for mobiles now, but you can still access the website at https://companion.battlefield.com/companion/ (N.B. it has limited functionality nowadays).

    Did you manage to fix it? I had the same problem but managed to get the dog tag after multiple attempts by standing in different places on the balcony. I guess, by looking at the Morse code station again you progressed the EE further so a dove stopped appearing. If you didn't find a solution, i think your only hope is EA player support. And, maybe, some later EEs' rewards can be acquired with somebody else doing the EE. But maybe the game remembered that you finished this EE, and wouldn't stop you from getting rewards from later steps

    M0nsleur EA Help cannot provide EE items or really even assist people with completing them. The best bet is the BFEE Discord channel right now.

    I had the same problem when getting my “A Beginning” Dogtag, I made contact with the pigeon and heard the noise, but found no Dogtag in my inventory back in the menu. I managed to get the pigeon a second time and still didn’t have the Dogtag, I ended up just restarting the application a bunch of times until it showed up in my Dogtag menu.
