After Winter Update, BF4 on PS3 is glitchy

I'm asking help on behalf of my deaf best friend who cannot read or write. After the winter patch, he's having problems with screen tearing and glitchy things stuck on him when on foot. Also, when he's in the helicopters, it gets laggy and shakes the screen like crazy. But it is very smooth for him when he rides in the tanks and ATVs.

For me, when a person stands on top of the LAVs for a ride, it gets jaggy and shaky sometimes. The same goes for him too.  I understand some LAVs have only one seat, but I think it's neat that people can hitch a ride on top of them.
