AN-94 OR AEK-971?

It depends on how you play. If you play smaller maps like noshahr TDM, with less distance, the AEK 971 is preferable with its faster firerate over the AN-94. The AN-94 isn't even good at long range as there are other options in the sniper class that replace it easily.(Remember that weapons in a game don't represent their real life counterparts)
If you want an overall good weapon, start with the M16A3.
