Are all assignment weapons premium only?

I thought I'd start working towards some of the assignment unlocked weapons earlier but not really sure how they work. Are they available to vanilla game users? I don't seem to ever see them in game so wondering if they're limited to only a certain group, or if they're just not very popular, or both. Also, do they have to be done in order? I was looking at one of the melee weapons and it said you needed so many shovel kills which I've done a reasonable amount of but it hasn't registered any of them in the assignment.

    Ok fair enough. Thought it might be something like that. Do you know why one of them isn't tracking progress while the others are though?

    Edit: just to confirm though, do you need additional DLC for all of them? Looking in game at medic weapons for example, most of the assignment weapons have the P symbol and say which DLC they're part of, but the selbstlader 1906 sniper doesn't have either of those.

    @eI-nombre,

    the Selbstlader 1906 is the new Level 10 weapon for the medic class, like Martini Henry sniper for scout, Hellriegel Defensive for assault and Huot Optical for support class.

    Everyone with rank 10 in each class can unlock these weapons.

    Back to DLC weapons, they all should be tracked and unlocked simultaneously.

    Please check "weapons & gadgets" in the soldier main menu, there you´ll find everything. 🙂
