Astronomical Load Times: Cannot Play Game

Question

I'm trying to play campaign mode at the moment. It literally takes 20 minutes for the game to open. Once it does none of the icons load, and then it is impossible for me to get a gadget out of the first weapon crate and this completely prevents progress through the first level.

Is anyone else experiencing this? I did not experience this in the multiplayer beta. Here are my computer's stats:

* 16 GB RAM
* Windows 8 Pro
* 3.5GHz i7 CPU
* GeForce GTX 680

I do have BF4 on a different drive from the OS, but I do this with all my games and have never experienced an issue. I'm considering trying to move it to C:\.

Thoughts?

This was resolved by moving the installation to my startup drive. Note that most games do not experience this issue, but apparently BF4 must be on the same drive as your OS.
