Bad Performance with crossfire setup on BF4

I recently got a second R9 270 to crossfire and I have been having problems with bad performance issues in BF4. On some maps it will even dip down to 30FPS. I have noticed when using monitoring software that the game is only utilizing about 30% of both of my GPU's and I don't know how to fix this problem. These are my system specs.

CPU: AMD FX-8320

Motherboard: ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0 ATX AM3+

RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB DDR3-1600MHz

GPU: 2x Club 3D Radeon R9 270 2GB '14 series

Power supply: EVGA 750Watt ATX12V

OS: Windows 8.1 Pro (64-bit)

  • Try posting a link to your dxdiag. The newest driver is kinda a must. Also, you should switching between Mantle and DX11

Well, Mantle is still in beta.

Have you reinstalled the driver after you got the new card?

  • Hey Same setup crossfire 270's mantle gives terrible performance change to dx11 and then set ultra then make sure game is fullscreen Crossfire Does not work if not in full screen!    had to make that clear I had the same problem until I found that out afterwards 80 fps

Do you happen to be using mantle I have been experimenting with mantle vs directx and I get 40 or so fps on mantle which is annoying as **bleep** but put it on direct x and 80fps

Also make sure that v-sync is disabled for crossfire because this causes microstuttering and might cause the fps to drop
