Just wanted to put in my 2 cents as well. Here is an exact copy of the message I received:
DirectX device creation error
Your computer does not meet the minimum requirements for playing this game.
"NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780" GPU does not support DirectX 10.0 which is required.
Please bear in mind I played the game yesterday and the only thing I have done since then is restart my computer. In fact everytime I restart my computer I get this message when I try to play and in order to temporarily fix this I have to redownload the drivers daily, what gives?? (oh and my brand spanking new 780 doesn't support 10.0??? such BS) This is in fact why I bought the card I thought there was a problem with my 560 Ti, but same 'ol crap.

I was playing BF4 like 3 hours prior to that.
Hi, did you try the following?:
-Go to Origin options and disable Origin-in-game.
-Update your graphics drivers.
Then try to play.
As soon as I tried to use mantle by updating my AMD Radeon R9 280 GPU to the latest BETA driver I have had this message even though my computer can run BF4 with ease, I switched back to DirectX and the game worked fine. All I want is to play with mantle without getting this error , any help??
