Battlefield 1 - Why can't I use my flight stick?

I've been playing Battlefield since BF2 now and never once has using my flight stick been an issue but in BF1 there doesn't seem to be an option for it!! 

I hope this is only temporary as it's like I've only got 2/3 of the game that I am able to play as this is the only vehicle I am unable to use, flying with a mouse isn't an option for me and neither is using a lame * Xbox pad so please for the love of sanity tell me that this will be sorted and a patch released to make it right as it should be...
