Multiplayer in Trial Version now works for me, after the patch
It's not a bug. The intention behind that is that the public server, especially the europe 64 slots server were most of the time full. The elegant solution would be to provide more server. The dice/eu solution is to throw a exception if a origin access player with a trail version will join a multiplayer server.
I am a battlefield gamer of the first hour. 1942, vietnam, bf2, bad co 2, bf3, bf4.
But that is to much dice/ea. It's very intrigue. I don't buy the game, sorry!

Agree.... I have all Battlefields since BF2... I am a veteran and I Love BF. But I was playing the trial to test the game b4 buying it. After this week I won't buy this game. I will w8 to play it when it comes to EA Access ... I was going to buy next month but now that I saw the true face of EA, they won't see my money for some time...
THIS IS NOT A BUG! I can say for SURE they are doing this on purpose ¬¬ . This week we have Black Friday sales and BF1 is in the discount list for all platforms. Coincidence? I don't think so... They will fix this "bug" next week after the sales.. So funny lol .
Battlefield 1 is a great game, I could play the multiplayer for a couple of hours b4 this intended bug. But, what can I say now? I am a customer and EA don't care about their customers... I think they should take some lessons from CD PROJEKT RED or Netflix about "How to treat their clients".
They won't "fix this bug" because it's not a bug. They obviously did this to try and get sales. Well guess what, they lost my sale and I will be very hesitant to buy anything further from EA.
EA / Dice are one of the largest Publishers / Developers in the gaming industry and they can't correct this? They never intend to correct this.
Game is fine but people from EA are * *.
Any one done chargeback on paypal because of this? What was PP respond?

I'm having the same issue as well was 5 hours into the trial.But now we can get the game for $31.Maybe its not a bad deal.
I'm thinking of getting it. What do you guys think? Is it worth the 30 bucks?

Imo it's the best deal you will get right now. However i'm going to hold off for christmas/new years deals.
I'm starting to get angry. EA doesn't give any news about any update or whatever.
You do realise they need to figure out exactly what is causing it right? It could be Origin, it could be BF1 client or it could be BF1 servers. On top of that, they then need to figure out the best way to patch the issue and finally test it enough, making sure it doesn't cause any further issues.
If you think that is going to take 7 days, then you're SOL. EA have never been particularly great at communicating, plus it's DICE that has to make the patch, not EA.
EA is responsible of the communication of DICE + they need to be more responsive about it. It's our right since we paid for it.
Its interesting that the multiplayer mode is even advertised after the story mode of the Battlefield 1 Trial is finished.
@IronLawZ stupid crooks... They say that we get FULL GAME, and the reality is somewhat different...
