Laggy servers on battlefield 1

Check your internet connection, you could also try reinstalling your game. What are your PC specs?

I've had the same problem for two weeks. The interesting thing is that this problem always occurs in the evenings, but sometimes it works fine. My network is good, everything is fine. When there's lag during gameplay, the network parameters are correct. I've been playing BF1 for over five years, and this is the first time this has happened. I'm playing from Poland, on German servers.

I uninstalled the latest driver and installed 581.80. Interestingly, tonight I had the same ping as always, which was an average of 30. What changed was that the game would frequently freeze and the yellow and red server performance icons would pop up - which I haven't had even once before. But the game played much better than it did over the past two weeks with high ping.

I'm testing it out for now. We'll see how it goes tomorrow. If it's the same, it's probably the NVIDIA drivers. I'll play tomorrow evening and let you know how it goes.

Today, everything was very good, but once a high ping (83) appeared and lasted for two minutes. I'll write here in a few days how it went and add my conclusions.

I still have a high ping (80), so it's not the Nvidia driver's fault. For the past two days, I've had a constant high ping. My network parameters are very good. Interestingly, when my ping is high, the game server browser shows a good ping. I also checked the connection quality to other German servers; when I have a high ping in-game, the connection quality to other servers is very good.

So, what conclusion can I draw from this? Is the high ping solely due to the BF1 game servers? If so, why do most players have good ping, while only about 11 players out of 64 have high ping?
