Battlefield 1 DirectX Error

Anyone know how to fix this? Battlefied 1 is crashing as soon as I get into a game. Here is the error message:

DirectX function “Dx11Renderer:tryMap” failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED (“The video card has been physically removed from the system, or a driver upgrade for the video card occured. “). GPU: “NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060”, Driver: 37633. This error is usually caused by the graphics driver crashing; try installing the latest drivers. Also, make sure you have a supported graphics card with at least 2GB.

Please help.

Get rid of driver # 376.33; it is incompatibile, generally, with Frostbite games, such as this one.  Use the CLEAN install option to install the # 376.60, "Hot Fix" driver instead.

Hotfix definitely worked for me using a 770 card with 2GB memory. You sure all drivers up to date?

Yeah they are up to date, I'm running a 1060 3 GB so I'm not sure if it's something with that.

I'm running a 1060 6GB and it's fine for me so let's try some other things.  Try this fix for the direct X error:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aD6j3xTH-vg&list=WL&index=60

If that doesn't work then run windows update to make sure the OS is up to date and then run the Windows error checker as shown here:  https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/929833/use-the-system-file-checker-tool-to-repair-missing-or-corrupted-system-files

After those are run try to play BF1 again.

If you still have problems boot your PC in safe mode and see if BF1 can run without issue.
