"Battlefield 1 has stopped working"

Battefield 1 crashes at startup. I am not able to see any screen and as soon as I try to open the game I get: "Battlefield 1 has stopped working"

I have been searching for a solution and I have tried several things including: running the game as administrator, updating drives, fixing the game, reinstalling the game, updating Origin, lowering graphics settings from NVIDIA control panel, checking my minimum requirements.

I haven't found any solution for this issue. I was hoping to find some answers here.

My machine's specs:

Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

Intel Core i7 4770

CPU 3.5 GHz

RAM 16MB

DirectX 11

NVIDIA GFORCE 760 2GB

    Hi,

It has been great advise from MADragon, it has helped a lot. I was able to run other EA games that were previously not working.

Unfortunately Battlefield still doesn't work since I haven't been able to update Service Pack 1. I tried trouble shooting it following the advice on this website https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/15090/windows-7-install-service-pack-1-sp1 but it hasn't helped so far. If there is anything you can advise I would love to hear it.

I am getting the 800F0A12 error but I haven't had the time yet to search for a solution.

Thank you for following up on this.

    Best Regards,

    Carlos.

    Hi MADragOn,

I was looking further for a solution and it was mentioned a few times partitions.

I decided to unplug all my internal drives and leave only the system drive.

This allowed for the update to be installed and the game now is running.

Thank you very much for your help and assistance. Much appreciated.

    Best Regards,

    Carlos.
