Battlefield 1 low GPU usage at distance (not bottleneck)

Hello Guys 🙂

Recently I bought GTX 1070 G1 Gaming 8gb and I noticed that my fps was not on point (60~80 fps no matter if the graphics are set to Ultra or Low)... So I downloaded MSI Afterburner and there I saw that my GPU Usage was very unstable ( looking at distance ~50%, looking close ~99%): here is the video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WdnDOWkOado

Another interesting thing is that I managed to get ~90 fps with my older GPU (960 G1 Gaming) on LOW...which made me think...it should be a bottleneck... so I bought a new Mobo, SSD,PSU Gold 90% effeciency, new Case with more Fans...still no improvement... I have tried everything people on reddit suggested for Nvidia control panel...my power plan is set on high performance...overclocking to 4.4 GHz or overclocking my GPU doesn't show any improvement...I have tried XMP, even going down to 2133Mhz with my RAM...still no change...Here is my other video which shows that changing graphics settings will increase the fps with ~10 which is ridiculous for my PC build: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mQasgSjfYsg

My PC build:

CPU: i7-6700k @4.00

GPU: GTX 1070 G1 GAMING 8Gb

RAM: HyperX Kingston 2400Mhz 16 Gb Single Channel

MB: MSI Z170A Tomahawk

Monitor: BenQ XL2411Z 144Hz

PSU: 750W 90% efficiency

I am out of ideas anymore...I really wish someone could help me...Thanks in advance.

PS... Excuse my bad English

I have not had only 1 memory stick in a computer myself but I've heard several instances of frostbite engine powered games where 1 memory stick can cause lower than expected performance. It also makes sense that the GPU is not working as fast as it can if it doesn't get the data from the ram quickly enough.

In short, buying a single stick of 16GB was probably a mistake, 2x8 is what most recommend for a reason ☹️

  • Yes...several times...using the control panel I uninstalled each nvidia driver then I tried downloading the driver through geforce experience and nvidia site...I also made a fresh installation of windows every time I bought a new piece of hardware.

  • Thank you for the help...unfortunately I have tried almost every setting on Nvidia control panel (V-sync, max prerendered frames, ambient occlusion, power management mode etc.)...yet nothing seems to work...do you think the problem might be the single channel RAM?....but then again I didn't have any problems with my previous GPU...
