Battlefield 1: Matchmaking failed

I've had the same problem the last 4 days. Finally after seeing all my friends able to play I figured it was my account or something. I made another gamertag and was able to get on multiplayer on the new account. I switched back over to my original gamertag and I still got "Matchmaking Failed". So it is my account for some reason. I really want to play on my original gamertag that I've had for 8 years now. I was lvl 29 on bf1 and don't really want to start over but I guess I can play on the other account until this gets resolved. Hope making another account works for you guys.

Yes this has worked for me too. Sucks so bad that it's the reason!!

  I started getting this problem two days ago out of the blue and it hasnt worked since. Its really pissing me off cause it was working without a single issue and now poof! its broken. Other profiles do not work either.
