battlefield 1 question controlling the planes

battlefield 1 how to fly planes

What is the best way to control the planes.

I cannot get the hang of controlling the aircraft. keep crashing to the ground or into the side of a mountain.

I am using a pc keyboard and mouse.

Is there a better way to fly and control the planes

Thanks for any help

Huey

Yeah, they do take some working and each plane handles differently depending on the job you and potentially your squad are looking to do.

For a start, you can change the inverted pitch so up is up and down is down, for some folks this is as comparable a difference as between night and day (for me especially)

Secondly, on the turns you will want to increase your thrust, especially for dog fights in a fighter, master this and you will quickly be able to  get on the enemy's six in no time at all.

Bombers are toughest to master IMO, my advice is to leave this until you have mastered the fighter and attacker (somewhere between a fighter and bomber and my fave for air support) as it's slow to turn and you need a solid squad to protect your six and twelve as bombers are targets due to the sheer amount of carnage they can unleash in conquest, especially on Monte Grappe you can help your team dominate points B & D.

Finally, practice makes perfect! War Story 'Friends in high places' on hard setting will really have you testing out your aerial maneuvers, you might even want to mix it up a bit and try using a joypad to see if this helps.

These are just a few pointers, I'm sure others will have differing opinions, but I hope it helps.

CONTACT! and chocks away, happy hunting.

    Thank you for the help.
  • Hello @houtlaw

I just use the controls when starting up the game. It's just something to get used too. But if you can't get the hang of it then just try to use different controls until something is comfortable. Just what I would do.

    Thanks,
    Zoie
