Battlefield 1 Random DirectX crashes [FIXED]

The game ran well for 3 hours in Singleplayer.

And then the first crash happened after an hour of multiplayer.

The most frequent DirectX error I get is the OUTOFMEMORY error.

It now crashes randomly at the menu, sometimes at the loading screen and sometime son startup.

I've had this issue with Battlefield 1 since the beta and I thought these will be fixed by launch. Unfortunately it is not the case.

I have disabled the Origin overlay. Reinstalled my drivers multiple times. Cleaned the registry. And repaired the game. Non-of the solutions have worked for me.

My setup:

Core i7 4712HQ

16 GB RAM

GTX 850M

Windows 10 64bit Home

I have attached my Dxdiag report below.

My notebook display is running at 1366x768 native; and I have connected a secondary 1920x1080 native display to my notebook.

I would greatly appreciate if  you can help me resolve this issue asap as I have purchased the game to enjoy it, not to be disappointed.

  • [FIX]

I have managed fix my issues.

Alright, this is what I did.

    1. I went to the Battlefield 1 folder -> _Installer -> and installed/ repaired the redists, both of them.

    2. I had two major Windows updates (I didn't realize they were major until today).

      - I had to install Updates for Windows 10 Version 1511 and Updates for Windows 10 Version 1607

    3. I then updated Nvidia GeForce Experience (10/20/2016 update), not the Driver.

One of the above fixed the DirectX issues for me, I have no crashes since. I am 99% sure its the Windows Update that fixed things but you could try doing the rest as well.

I hope the above list will help you get things fixed. Good luck!

I am also having a Direct X Function error except mine says ""Direct  X Function "Get Device Removed Reason" Failed With DXGI_Error_Device_Reset("The Device Failed Due To A Badly Formed Command. This Is A Run_Time  Issue; The Application Should Destroy And Recreate Device") GPU Nvidia GTX 710, Driver 37306""   It ran fine for like 3-4 hours then it kept crashing the next time I opening BF1. I seem to get into game for a few min then I get the error.

    1) Grahpic Driver is up to date
    2) Game is optimized with nvivida experience
    3) I tried disabling origin overlay
    4) I did a repair on it

    Thanks for any help.

worked for me too. Played without an error for 2 hours now, before 2o minutes or so and the error accures.
