Same issue here. Game was working properly for the last year. Didn't play for some time but two weeks ago I tried again and got the Experience. Buidl: i56600, GTX 1060
- @TheDankestReader Thats sad brotha. You r the hearthwarming cinderalla story of gaming. But ea is a monster who feeds on money...
EA = thieves and fraudsters.
Hello QC,
I'm writing to add my lamentations to the chorus, and I hope that my unique perspective might bring some merit to our cause.
I've been in game dev for 20 years.
I understand that priorities and budgets change things from the top down.
I understand that the rational corporate move is to support the new game and migrate the player base.
And I understand that EA is a giant company where diffusion of responsibility is certainly the norm.
However, I'd like to appeal to your own love of games, which we share.
I'm sure you have a game in your own mind when I say that this (BF1) is my favorite game of all time. It's the only game I make time to play anymore.
I have been playing BF since the '42 beta. This, BF1, is the MASTERPIECE that was built on the shoulders of all those that came before.
I can tell that this game was built with love, by a team who really really cared. As a AAA game dev who's been through the mill, realizing that makes me happy.
That said, I'm humbly suggesting the following: That you find a special place for this gem that your company once built. Because gems are RARE, and prized by everyone.
It can be done. Forward this to your manager. Ask them to forward it to their own. Give the initiative a good name and wrap it nicely; use it to reach for that promotion. I've done as much.
And here's the heart of it: Find a way to protect art. Use this as the benchmark, and repeat it with other beloved classics. You will rebuild your company's reputation for very little investment. That has to be worth something to someone up the chain. And anyone who stands behind great art will always find support.
0.02. Thanks for reading with an open mind. Best,
D
- @Lula2025 Oh my god, glad I found this thread; I thought I was going crazy with there being no explanation for my game suddenly performed like *. I've been playing BF1 on my 1050 since 2021 with absolutely problem. Traded up to 1050Ti and suddenly anti-cheat came out, absolutely bricked the performance. I got stutters and freeze every 10 steps, then back to a crisp 60fps, rinse and repeat. God I know EA sucks but damn.
I always wanted to play BF1 and I bought it recently on sale for 3 euros. Now I find out that one of my most wanted videogames became unplayable. EA PLEASE fix this!!!
EA please fix it. It has been over a month. You ruined one of the best and smoothest games you have ever released. I’ve been playing this game for more than 6 years and I’ve never had issue like this before.
- PixelatedPianist2 months agoRising Traveler@BunnyMcFluffs It's ridiculous, i can get 90-100 when i lower the options but regardless it just bombs down to 0-30 fps randomly. sometimes there's a giant explosion, another I'm alone on one end of the map with nothing happening
what an unlucky time to decide to play BF1, i have the same issue with these stutters. The game runs fine at stable 75fps but then CPU usage jumps to 100% and the game just stutters like crazy for a few seconds. it seems the "system" process is what causes the usage spike, and i haven't managed to pinpoint what causes it, it doesn't happen when doing anything else on my PC.
