battlefield 1 voice output change

Hi. I have an MSI Laptop with a broken earphone jack so I had to buy a usb sound dongle to connect my earphones to, and it works just fine. As a result, the audio output is set the usb dongle and not the laptop speakers. However, for some reason the voice chat output is over the laptop speakers only and since I play with the earphones, I don't hear the voice chat while in the game. I cannot find a way to change the voip output to the earphones via the usb sound dongle. How do I change this?

  • Hey @EradicatorZA,

you can check the settings in Origin directly - launch the client and choose "Origin - Application Settings - Voice".

You should have a dropdown menu for both microphone and speakers, do you have an option to select your usb sound dongle there?

@EA_Joker Nowadays, this solution no longer exist and in 2021 I still have the same problem, if someone has a solution i'll take it
  • Hi @OKM7

I don't have a solution for you yet.

But i just wanted to let you know, feel free to open a new Topic for your issue and describe your situation there again in a fresh Thread.

As in this one the last post was already back in 2017. 😉

Because oftentimes instructions from older threads may be a bit outdated, so it's generally best to start a new topic if you're unable to find a more recent thread about something you'd like to discuss. In cases that involve troubleshooting that's primarily to make sure you wouldn't be wasting your time with outdated info that may no longer be accurate.

I'll be locking the thread here as it's definitely quite old, thanks!

    Greets,

    Travis
