Battlefield 1 won't let me press 'X' at start screen PS4

I was playing BF1 on PS4 the other night, and it all started when I couldn't zoom or aim down the barrel.  I shut off PS4 and router.  After a bit started it back up and it worked for a bit, then it ...

    Turned off my controller, then back on, worked fine! Hope it works for you!

Why does this happen and can you fix it

    My issue was with BF1 servers. Called tech support and they stated there was something wrong with my connection to the server. They reset something on their end and I've had no problems since.

        Same thing happened to me. Controller off then on corrected it
