Battlefield 1 won't start on Xbox One

Hi,

I just finished downloading Battlefield 1 on my Xbox One. When I went to play it for the first time tonight, the Battlefield title screen comes up for a second, then the screen goes black and nothing happens. Very frustrating.

Please help!

    @soggyc0w try this
    Could you try to theses steps:
    1. Press controller 'Option' on game tile
    2. Choose 'Manage Game'
    3. Select 'Saved data'
    4. Press controller 'Option' again over affected profile
    5. Select 'Delete saved data'
    6. Choose 'Delete everywhere' first
    7. If the profile image still appears in 'saved data' repeat step #6 but this time choose 'Delete from console' this time.

    Hi @soggyc0w

    The basic jump off for a game failing to launch after a DL can be sometime a result of the XB1 having been shut down mid DL or incorrectly in the past.

    You could try a hard reset of your XB1

    Failing this a re-installation of BF1

    There are a few other options post this, but I'd be interested to see if the above works before I advise on other options which would have implications for some of your save data for other games you might have.

    Thanks for the help.

    I uninstalled and reinstalled the game this morning, and made sure it didn't turn off while installing.

    Same problem. Title screen appears then it all goes black. Any other suggestions? It's unfortunate that their are no refunds on this, but there has to be some sort of good faith that it would work right?

    I just bought my xbox one s today, installed battlefield 1 and tried playing it and the exact thing that you described happened to me and i have spent the last 4 hours following Xbox's official fix methods for problems relating to games not starting and freezing and still that plain black screen keeps appearing.

    I have the exact same issue. It's been happening to me ever since they updated Battlefield 4s menu. Still can't get it to load either ☹️ Really unsatisfied with the fact I can't play something I just spent hard earned money on!

    Anyone know how to contact EA directly? I spent $60 on this thing a week ago and still am having no luck getting it to run.

    after an update about 2 weeks ago i've been having this issue. i even got a new xbone within the 2 weeks and tried it on there...same thing

    Hi, I'm having the same problem.
    Already did a factory reset, reinstall the game but no success.
