battlefield 1, xbox one, black screen on startup. day one release.

battlefield 1, black screen xbox one. Hey all, I just purchased this game on disc, and installed it onto my xbox one console. I allowed it to update the 2.5gb (around) file, proceeded to load the game, and got nothing but a black screen, waited and waited and no change. did the usual, power cycled, held power button 10 seconds, then unplugged my xbox one. allowed it to fully load, put the blu ray disc in the drive, and again. battlefield 1 logo, black screen. thinking about returining it, since I cant even play it. not really happy. please note one of the recommended fixes for this, was a factory reset of the console, I have done this 2 days prior due to the games release. so I am at a loss on what to do from here. can anyone recommend anything please?

i factory reset my console a second time, the game works, can confirm this !

Thanks for confirming that a factory reset solved this for you @Nemesis2k12

We are looking into this issue but for now if you are having a problem with a black screen crash on XBOX One you can fix it with a factory reset. Please keep in mind that you will lose anything that isn't backed up when doing this.

I'm having the same issue and the factory reset did not solve it. Even after the factory reset I still only get the black screen and the game will not load. Tried to get a refund but since it was a new game the store will only exchange for another copy. Tried the new copy and have the same issue. So now I have a $65 piece of garbage.
