Battlefield 1942 controls for xbox 360 controller

As BF1942 is an old game, I don't know if there if there is some trick to bring a 360 controller to run with the game. BF1942 has no direct and native support of the controller. I tried to run the controller with BF1942 after I read your post, sadly without success. Maybe some experts from our community have some tricks to bring the controller to run with the game.

I made a modified Dinput8.dll that polls Xinput, allowing full controller support. Specially made for Battlefield 1942: [link removed based on our forum rules]
