Battlefield 1942 Mac?

On the promo page for Battlefield 1942 going Free to Play, it says Platform: PC Download, Mac. http://www.battlefield.com/battlefield-1942

The trouble is, every time I try to download it, I'm prompted to download Origin, which appears to be Windows only - am I missing something?

    Hey there, sorry for the confusion. The free download of BF1942 is currently only available on Origin, which does not have a Mac client yet (though we are working hard on it).

    Get a program called Crossover (free trial available). Install there. Run the app it makes for you. Voila.

    this game made part of my life...this is not making now because i cant play it on mac ..can you tell me when it will be finished? cant wait to play it again 🙂

    I just downloaded orgin for mac. It still say that bf42 is still only for pc. Will you all be putting out a mac version for it?

    Yup, same here. I'm guessing they just haven't got that all in order yet.

    Any word on when that will be?

    Yes....when can we play Battlefield 1942on iMac?

    My killing skills are getting rusty. : )

    I tried Origin with no luck.
