BattleField 2 bad company Can't login to Register CD key

I just purchased battlefield bad company 2 on steam. After logging in with my EA account and putting in my CD key, I simply keep getting an error saying its unable to connect. After searching around ...

I registered my keys on the website, but now when I start up multiplayer on PC, it requires me to log in and still asks for a Key. However, now it says keys already in use and takes me back to the start menu. 

Any other solutions? Thanks!
