Battlefield 2 not ranking up question

Hello everone i have a quick question I am new to Battlefield 2 and I am not ranking up I am playing on ranked servers and I have been steadily watching my points rise I am trying to get from private to firstclass private on BFHQ it shows that I have enough points to rank up but it's not and even though I play additional games nothing happens was wondering if anyone could help me
