BattleField 2142 won't let me log on to EA master servers

I have had 2142 for a while now and just recently I tried to log in and it just says contacting EA Master Server. As well I did have it set to 'remeber me' but my password was gone so I had to re-ent...

The multiplayer portion of this game has been shutdown by Gamespy.

It's for the singleplayer too! You have to log on to the EA servers to play singleplayer! EA should atleast make a patch for the singleplayer!

You don't understand. EA has abandoned Battlefield 2142 entirely. They're too busy creaming themselves over Battlefield Hardline and the newer, "better" versions of this game.

Instead of complaining about what we no longer have, we should focus on trying our hardest to figure out how to get around this roadblock.

Pretty much every EA/Origin game I own is now useless. They should have made a patch for all these games so they could still be played or given refunds of the original prices to millions of people.
