Can I still play BF2142 singleplayer or did EA shut it down?

The multiplayer portion of this game has been shutdown by Gamespy.

He asked specifically about single player portion of the game which everybody has a problem with but never gets answered. We get it that Multi is down, what about single player with bots? Do you guys have any explanation or any fix for this issue?

I payed for this game and if I am barred from playing single-player then I want a refund! EA JUST RAN A SALE ON THIS GAME AT CHRISTMAS!!!
I had more fun playing BF2142 than ANY game ever. I don't want the memory to die and want to continue playing single player.
Can EA reply to this thread and answer the single player question several of us have posed here??? It would be much appreciated.
