I moved your post to the BF3 area to get you some help, did you already try repair game and game update? Other then this all I can think of is.....
C:\Users\your PC Name\Documents\Battlefield 3
BF3 folder in my documents holds game configs and screen shots even if BF3 is installed on different drive. When you uninstall BF3 it does NOT remove this folder. So when you install the game again you can still have the same issues. Even if its not a new install it is still worth trying as the game cfg could be mucked up.
1- Go to my Documents and remove BF3 folder place it on your Desktop for now.
2- Be warned you do have to set up your in game settings again.
3-Repair BF3
4- When done go test your game. If it fails reboot your PC and run repair game again and test BF3.Hey, sorry that my reply is years late 😉 I had the same problem, running BF3 through origin on PC. I realized that the problem was caused because I had mapped all prone and crouch buttons to a single "press for crouch/hold for prone" button. Mapping all the options for prone and crouch to separate buttons on the keyboard, fixed it for me. It fixed it because the prompt to prone would only go away after pressing the specific button for prone. This then allowed the prompt to press "E" to pull the wire out of the explosive device.
TLDR: Make sure that all crouch and prone keybinds are linked to a specific and separate key - then you will be able to fulfill the prone prompt and then be able to press E to disable the bomb (the box with the black wires drooping out of the front).

I'm closing this thread to stop it from being necroed.
If you have any issues with Battlefield 4, please make a new topic about your problems and what kind of steps you have tried to solve them.
