Hi clpedroso,
Please try running the Directx installer, DXSETUP, from the following (default) location:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 3\__Installer\directx\redist

Hello,
I also have the same issue and it's crazy - always play for about 2-3 minutes then the same - ATI HD 6000 series cards. Using latest drivers for everything. I tried the directx install but nothing - when will a windows 8 patch come out. I had NO ISSUES under windows 7 - nothing else has changed!!!

Hi I'm having the same problem as clpedroso. Here is some info about my PC.
Operating System: Windows 8 64 bit
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 660ti with 2GB memory
CPU: Intel i5 @ 3.40 GHz with 6MB cache and four cores.
DirectX version: DirectX 11
Motherboard: ASRock Z77 Pro3
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Better yet, delete all the .cab files - except DXSETUP.exe, DSETUP.dll and dsetup32.dll - or move them to a backup folder and then run installation again. Running DX setup from that location reports similar error and fails to install.

Yep, re-running the DXSETUP.exe worked spot-on. Fixed same problem installing on Windows 10. I'd already run the dxwebsetup program when I got the new machine so I don't know why I needed to do this.
But it worked, so who cares?!
