I have my cd and case I purchased. I have a new pc and trying to install the game with the two disks. Origin pops up and asks for the serial code. I entered the 16-digit code from inside the box. Origin reads "already used." I don't have the game installed on any other pc. What is this?

The CDs install the game through Origin as you redeem the CD key via origin so it is in your Origin game library. Keys are one time use and after being redeemed are permanently attached to your Origin account.
If this is a brand new unopened BF3 for PC and the key is coming up as redeemed you will need to speak with a game advisor. The Game Advisor can audit the key to make sure that it was never redeemed on another Origin account, and if it wasn't he can fix the problem for you.

The call back feature available to North America, Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Slovakia, Switzerland, and the UK.
