Hi tadsand,
The behaviour that you described in your first post is intended. You can launch the single-player, co-op and multiplayer directly from within Battlelog.
I've looked up your Battlelog account, and it seems like there is no Battlefield 3 tied to this Origin account. Are you logged in with the correct account and can you see Battlefield 3 in your Origin client?
Does my Battlelog and Origin username and password have to be the same? and yes i can see battlefield 3 on Origin

Yes, you have to log in to Battlelog with the same Origin account that has Battlefield 3 tied to it. You don't need to create a new account for Battlelog, just use the same login information that you are using for your Origin account. Then it will detect that you have Battlefield 3 on your account and you should be able to play the game then 🙂

Ive set both of my origin and battlelog passwords the same, but battlelog only accepts email accounts whenever i log into it, and i have an origin id on origin.

You've entered an email address in order to create your Origin account, please use this email address (which serves as the login to your Origin account the same way like your Origin ID) to log in to Battlelog.
If you don't know anymore what email address you used, then please contact EA Support via http://help.ea.com/contact-us and talk to a Game Advisor. They should be able to tell you what email address you've used to create your Origin account after they've verified your account ownership.
If you require further assistance with this matter, please let me know. Thanks

Well that means that you have two different Origin accounts.
Please contact EA Support via http://help.ea.com/contact-us and talk to a Game Advisor. They are the ones who can assist you in this situation.

can i not play the game without having to sign in multiple times once in origin and once in battlelog?

You could go to http://battlelog.battlefield.com directly with your browser, log in with your Origin account and whenever you click on Play (or join a server) it will automatically launch Origin and Battlefield 3 without requiring you to log in again.

Uhm, not sure if this still applies to me or not, but when I tried to launch BF3 through Origin it brought me to Battlelog, as expected... but it never asked me to enter in my key. It automatically registered my copy of Close Quarters DLC that I recieved from the E3 Promo, but Battlefield 3 itself is not registered. And I can't find any place to enter in the key I have with Origin, either. What do? :-\

I'm having a similar problem. When I open Origin, battlefield shows up in my games, but when I try to start playing from BattleLog, it asks me to buy the gme again. I'm sure that I'm using the same account when I log into BattleLog.

Well, the account you posted with does not have Battlefield 3 on it so the error message would be expected. Maybe there was a seperate account created with the game attached to it?
If you are unable to locate your second account or if you would like to change any account details, please contact a Game Advisor at https://help.ea.com/contact-us for assistance. By providing them with your product code they will be able to locate your other account.

I am having a similar issue here. Some how I have 2 origin accounts (bf3 being on this one). I can login to the origin program fine but when I try to launch game from the origin program it pops up a browser tab to log into battlelog. For some reason I can't log into my origin account here BC it is saying to use a email address (my origin account with the game does not have an email add. As the user name while the other does) I don't know what to do here. This is a very aggravating issue. I appreciate your time

Heya cfoster6z9,
Yes, it looks like your account is somehow missing a proper email address. Luckily this is no big deal and can easily be resolved by one of our Game Advisors. Please contact them via live chat or phone at https://help.ea.com/contact-us for further assistance.
Click on Contact a Game Advisor, type in Origin and click Find Solutions. Select Account Management and PC for the category and platform and hit Find Solutions again. On the next page scroll down a bit and select I still need help at the lower right. You should now see different contact methods depending on the country selection at the bottom of the page and the time of day. Please select either live chat or phone.
Let us know if this doesn't help.

Yes, this is normal behaviour 🙂
You can start the the single player campaign, coop games or you can join multiplayer servers from Battlelog. Check the menu at the top of the page.

haha sorry i'm new but whenever i do an error comes up saying i cannot connect to battlelog?
- EA_Dennis12 years ago

What's the exact error message, does it say "cannot connect to EA Online", or something else? No connection to EA Online could either indicate a temporary connection issue with the server you are trying to join or a general connection issue like a blocking firewall or router.
Try another server and check it you are getting the same error message there.

When I start Battlefield 3 Limited Edition it goes to Battlelog saying I should choose my Origin ID. When I type in my correct Origin ID it says:
Something went wrong, please try again (USERPERSONAEXCEPTION())
Please help me, I want to play Bf3.

For that one, take a look here: http://answers.ea.com/t5/Battlefield-3/Choose-your-origin-ID-Battlelog/m-p/1479351#M98969
Basically, if it asks you to choose your Origin ID, go to the top right corner, click Unknown and then logout. Then go into Origin and click Play on Battlefield 3 again, it should now log you in properly.
