Maybe the 1.07 patch did something that makes the game behave in a manner that makes their servers not be able to deliver data in a timely manner, thereby introducing lag of some sort and bad hit detection. They never seemed to believe the PS3 input lag issue was actually input lag (they have always referred to it as "input lag") so maybe whatever it was that they did to make the game "feel" more responsive caused issues with the servers or how we at home communicate with the servers. I mean we know whatever it was that they did in 1.07 introduced brand new input lag (or "input lag" as it were) for SDTV users, which would point to them having done something to compensate for perceived input lag for PS3 players and maybe overcompensating or compensating in an incorrect manner. Or maybe they did something on the server end to coincide with the release of 1.07 that broke things on their end.
Al I know for certain is the game has been next to unplayable for me on PS3 and 360 since patch 1.07... 360 never had input lag, did it? But patch 1.08 seems to have made it worse on PS3, I haven't tested 360 since. Still no acknowledgement of an issue from EA/DICE... very disappointing, I've bought this game 4 times. PC, 360, PS3 (disc and download.)

No, 360 and pc both never had input lag as far as I know, it was just PS3. But I suppose if they did something in the patch to "fix" the "input lag" for PS3 they might have actually done something to speed up the responsiveness for PS3 that required them to do something to all of the platforms or maybe all of the servers regardless of platform to get what they were trying to do to work. There is also still the possibility that the PS3 input lag fix part of the patch wasn't what actually caused the issues we are having across all platforms since 1.07 came out (framerate drops, choppy game play, bad hit detection etc.).
I would assume there are PS3 servers and 360 servers and pc servers and they all work independently of each other, and also platform-specific versions of the patch, and that they wouldn't need to include the PS3 input lag fix in the 360 and pc versions of the 11/27 patch but who knows. I guess if you think about it it would make more sense if the issues we are still having across all platforms were because of part of the 11/27 patch that was included for all three platform versions to make Aftermath work or for some other issue that all platforms had been having... or maybe they just messed the servers up for everyone in preparation for Aftermath... or maybe the servers just can't handle the way all platforms connect to them post-11/27 patch, assuming the patch or parts of the patch actually WERE identical for all platforms.
It sure would be nice if we didn't have to guess about it. EA mods, can you guys let us know what is going on?
