Battlefield 3 doesn't even launch anymore after I moved it with EA Support to another Origin Account.I couldn't wait to play Battlefield on my new PC but I think it's too new?I tried:- reinstalling origin and the game- clearing browser / Cache of origin....- starting as admin and compatible Mode- installing the latest Punkbuster- all the other browsers- have the latest Graphic's Driversand there isn't much installed on my new PCAll that Battlelog says is "JOINING SERVER". There is no "Initialising" anymore.Please help me. I really wanted to play Battlefield 3 one day on a good pc and now it just doesn't launch ☹️Thank you for trying to help me.

Hello im DFShadow and the bf3 game i bought was working find untell after a little while my pc was running the game fine but for no reason at all the game randomly stopped working and i cant figure out why the game has this issue where it wont open no matter what i do it will launch a program after a while while steam says running which is called battlelog web helper then it will close thr game then doesnt start at all and its not just multiplayer its also campaign but with campaign it just keeps saying instilizing what is going on please tell me you can fix this i already checked specs and reinstalled battlefield and even went all the way to repair it nothing has worked.

Same. drivers all good, updated Pnkbstr, tried chrome, dissenter, firefox, edge, just hangs on joining server, even campaign. Ill try disabling my internet connection. Maybe I'll stop getting broken updates.

Start Origin, then open Internet Explorer (Not edge or chrome as Battlelog doesn't play well with Chromium based browsers), then go into Battlelog settings and select the launch method to be the Battlelog plugin. Then select a server and join. It works for me 100% of the time.

Hello, I bought BF3 yesterday on Steam, my problem is a bit different from the first one :I launch the game on Steam, It opens Origin, which opens Battlelog.The catch his that Battlelog cannot reach the game, error message "Could not communicate with BF3. Please use the Task Manager to close it down." so how could I fix this issue?Thanks in advance.

@dfshadows I literally just had this happen this week and finally fixed the issue. Here is what worked for me after previous troubleshooting that involved reinstalling the game didn't work: 1. Uninstall Battlefield 3 in Steam2. Hold the Windows key + R.3. In the command box that opens, type %ProgramData%/Origin then click OK.4. Go into LocalContent folder and delete Battlefield 3's folder5. Navigate to This Pc /Local Disk (C 🙂/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common and delete the Battlefield 3 folder (your location may be different if you didn't use the default installation location)6. Restart your PC7. Install Battlefield 3 on Steam. Hit Play in Steam to finalize Installation8. Join a server via Battlelog while Steam and Origin are both running.

@ICE_Teasports hey, do u tryed to make a clean restart from your pc? It can be that some programms messing around with it.
And what for graphic card do u have? Asus? Nvidia?

I've just recently bought bf3 on steam on a brand new PC and it was playing fine for a couple days but now I can't get it to launch at all.
I've seen that this is apparently a pretty common problem but no one has any actual solution for it?
I've done most things I can think of and have found that worked for other people. I've uninstalled and reinstalled, restarted my PC steam and origin, uninstalled origin, I've tried running the game as admin and in compatibility mode, I've even tried only launching the game from Battlelog but still nothing. From Battlelog all it will tell me after joining the server for several minutes it says that 'it didn't start properly' and to try things I've already done or it says it 'cant communicate with BF3'

Nope. It causes something to load in Origin but it very quickly refreshes back to the home page. It doesn't open Battlelog or anything.
Something I have noticed is sometimes when I've opened steam and origin and then try to join a server the game will say that it's running in my steam library while searching for a minute or two and then it stops. The "joining server" then won't stop until it times itself out.

@scrdrt hey, okay... but u linked steam and origin thogether?
Make a clean restart from ure PC and start all youre programms step by step, it can be that some programm conflict it.

@Rayoru I had the same exact problem, I couldn't find a solution either.

I'd suggest getting a refund from steam and buying it again through Origin. That's what I did and it's working fine now, I think the steam version is just bugged somehow.
