Battlefield 3 randomly freezing during multiplayer, needs hardreset ?!?!

I purchased BF3 Premium a couple weeks ago and finally got the chance to play it, but whenever I login to a server after 10-15 minutes the game randomly freezes and makes this famous BRRRRRR sound. I need to hard reset everytime.

Here is a bunch of things I've found online and tried but unfortunately none of them worked,

-Upgraded my video card from EVGA GTX 285 to EVGA GTX 670 FTW

-Upgraded the ram to 16gig gskill something

-Reinstalled the OS

-Reinstalled all the drivers obviously

-Redownloaded all the BF3 expansions and everything

-Reinstalled punkbuster

-Installed EVGA Precision X and monitored everything there is no overheating or anything, there is no overheating on CPU as well

-Underclocked/Overclocked the videocard

-Increased the voltage of the videocard

-There is no problem with any hardware, I've intensely tested my hardware with a bunch of other games, not a single issue

-I've flashed the BIOS to the newest

-Installed and re-installed Realtek onboard audio drivers

-Disabled anything NVIDIA sound related

-Lowered my sound settings to CD Quality ( When I had my old rig this solved my issue before any of the expansions, after the expansions my oldrig started failing and none of the above helped with both old and new hardware setup)

-I've set CPU minimum power to %100

-Disabled uPnp or whatever that thing is

-I've made sure I have enough harddrive space

-Even at the ultra settings not a single flicker or fps drop until its freezing but still I've tried a bunch of different graphic quality settings, medium, low etc...

-I've made sure that all the hardware is tightly sitting in their sockets, slots etc..

-I have a 650W PSU so it is not a power related issue, again there is no issue with any other software, game etc..

-There is no electric or internet related issue

-Tried using different browsers Firefox, Chrome etc..

-Disabled Origin in-game thing

-Tried running as an admin with different compatibility modes

-I assigned all the Physx related things to CPU and set my GPU settings to performance instead of quality

-Got rid of any sort of firewall and virus cleaning software

-And a lot of other things I can't even remember,

I know I am not the only one having this issue and since I paid for the whole thing and I like the game a lot, I really want to find a solution to this very annoying problem. I have been reading all the related stuff for weeks and nothing helped. I would be glad if someone tell me what to do, is there a patch on the way? Is there anything that I missed in the list above that would solve the problem?

Thanks...

    Thanks for the reply,

Like I listed in my initial post, I have already tried all of these steps. I just bought my new videocard and ram and like I said I tested those with games like Crysis 3 in very high settings for long hours. Not a single issue. GPU heat is 55-56C max which is around 10-12 degrees below the maximum it should be, so this tells me there is no problem on that side. Also I have pretty decent Zalman cooler spesifically for my CPU and again, my CPU heat is nowhere near maximum.

I already updated everything on my PC and setup a new OS so there is no problem on that either. I downloaded PB, Realtek drivers etc. from their own websites... This is not a problem related to any sort of drivers, OS etc. It is all tested and newly installed many times.

    Any other suggestions?

In all fairness, no you have no tried it all.

Testing in Crysis 3 is not a proper test, it doesn't use the same amount of memory and doesn't use the memory in the same way, the same can be said about the CPU. You need to do proper tests, the whole "other games work" argument will not make BF3 work.

Also, just because the build-in motherboard temperature probe says a temperature, it can't measure the entire CPU, thus a proper CPU test with 100% utilization over some hours is needed as well.

This problem can easily be related to drivers, you still havn't confirmed that you have tried BOTH the drivers from the motherboard manufacturer AND the chipset developer for both your chipset+network adapter+soundcard.

Have you tried downgrading your gfx driver to an older version? The newest driver should have some problems.

Please accept solutions if they are correct and press the XP button if somebody helped you.

    Cheers

Well sorry but you really did not read my initial post.

I have been trying for weeks maybe even months with numerous different methods. I have been trying with my old rig and my new rig and I have been using my whole setup for very intense processes not only gaming including Vray, MentalRay renders, all sorts of simulations, 3dMax etc etc. Again, "not a single issue". To be more spesific (for your %100 utilization idea) I know I left my PC on for 15-20 or so days to render stuff nonstop with full CPU affinity and full ram allocation( this is when I purchased a better cooler for my CPU). No overheating, no crash, no random resets, no power failure, no nothing. I ran benchmarks, tried many different methods to see if there is any sort of failure. I have not spotted a single hardware failure. Like I said back in the days ( I do not know the spesific version of BF3) I reduced my sound quality to cd quality via control panel and it fixed the problem for a while. But I can not accurately tell what happened after, It all started again and still is happening.

I believe you assume that I tested this and that and started posting here which I understand but trust me it really is not the case. I am well aware different software use hardware in different ways but again I tried a lot of stuff and I mean a lot.

Both my old ram and new ram were tested with memtest etc and no problems whatsoever. I have tried realtek drivers from ASUS website for my motherboard spesific drivers which is P6T. And yes I also have tried drivers from Realtek's own website and downloaded PB from punkbusters own website as well. I also tried re-installing, uninstalling and re-installing PB thru "pbsvc.exe", still no progress, still freezing after 15-16 minutes. I tried a variety of videocard drivers both for GTX285 and GTX670. It did not help at all. I have also made a research and NVIDIA guys even say that the current driver version (314.22) is the least problematic for BF3 which I am currently using.

I also tried what was just suggested about reducing the CPU allocation to 1 instead of all cores. I did it the way it was suggested and I also tried another method where I set  BF3.exe affinity to a single core. Game ran extremely slow in both cases on low settings and again 15-16 minutes, same freezing, same problem...

It is very interesting how you fail to suggest anything (similar with the staff I contacted online numerous times). It is very pathethic to offer solutions such as, disable your video card, play at low settings etc.... I mean what is the point, I might as well turn off the monitor and pretend that I am playing. ( It is also very funny because none of these suggestions work anyways)

I still keep on searching and trying to figure out what the problem might be. I contacted a couple other people having the same exact problem with almost completely different hardware setup. Just to clarify to you guys : THIS IS NOT A HARDWARE ISSUE!

I know for a fact that you guys are well aware this is a problem caused on the software side. Yeah like it was pointed out it could be the way BF3 is using the hardware but this does not mean it is a hardware issue. My question is, is anybody in EA working on this problem? As a premium user I really want to know because I do not even know what the new maps look like or what the new additions are. This is not what I paid for, I at least expect a reasonable answer if I ever will be able to play this game. If not I will waste my time trying to get a refund...

I've been here alot and have seen all he other freezes. 99% of the time it's fixed correcting driver issues or installation issues or similar. Calling people pathetic for suggesting such solutions just make people not wanting to help you.

And people asking you to try to disable things is a diagnostic tool to pinpoint the error so it can be fixed, it's not like we want you to have it disabled forever. If it suddenly works when you disable X thing, then we know that's where the problem is.

Oh, and your "Internal Timer Error" is mostly connected with overclocking. So you might want to turn that off and look for overheating and check if you have a dirty or poor quality power supply: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/toolsofthetrade/f/powersupplytest.htm

    Now, be nice.

    Well again,

You do not read before you post.

There is no overclock on my GPU, and there is no power failure... All have been tested and no results.

Please before being "now be nice", read what  has been posted. There is a clear reason why I am annoyed of the situation, I believe you would understand if the game refuses to work for whatever random reason for months.

I know why it is being disabled but do you know how many players out there still trying to play without any sounds? Because that is the only way to make the game work for them? This is what "pathethic" is...

I have contacted a game advisor yesterday and he suggested something I have not tried before. I will try and post the results here.
