Can any dev or community manager provide clarity on what maintenance was performed a couple of weeks ago?Since this maintenance, our BF3 PC server has been crashing. I have been talking to multiple server owners and the same thing is happening to them. So we have decided to start testing different server settings and here's what we have found out so far: Servers that are utilizing 1 single map i.e operation metro, are not crashing. Servers that have a map rotation, whether it's been set up as a vote map or just an automatic 'next map' are not lasting longer than a couple of matches, then they disappear from Battlelog not allowing any new players to search and eventually the server crashes. This has been a massive headache and nightmare for server owners and this has only started since this last maintenance. So I ask, can we get some clarity on what maintenance was performed? Is EA intentionally trying to get rid of Battlefield 3 without officially announcing such? CM edit: edited title for clarity.

As the Battlefield 3 and 4 forums have now been merged into a non-description forum, any news on this issue yet? I have a strange feeling that the new BF game, of which we saw a migrain inducing trailer, is a remake of BF3 and that this in fact won't be fixed, hoping everyone will leave 3 and 4 and move to the new one.
But it would still be nice if you fixed this 'tiny update', as I would hate if you did the same fix on the new game 😉

Ah, its nearly 2025, so thought I'd do my New Years Resolution...though that may be a long list.
.....or maybe I can do EA's...
Fix BF3 Before March 2025.
I know EA love anniversaries and all that, but I think having an anniversary for the fact that EA fixed something, broke a lot and never fixed it, doesn't bode well for BF4 when they decide that they want everyone to buy BF6 (or whatever its called).

OMG great news my friends , to all of us that had enough of this EA bug since february ...
EA finally showed no consideration at all towards us , as usual since this topic started , still nothing have been fixed , not the EA bug , nor the Battlelog , nor the Battlelog friend list , nor the coop mode , NOR OUR SERVERS ISSUES .

For everyone who cannot launch the campaign:
use the brave browser instead of firefox or chrome ( i tried with both, both didnt do *.) downloaded brave - logged in - click launch campaign and voila the game starts.

Big shout out to the admins still running the servers and caring about this game! It's really sad to see nothing being done about this.
I didn't read the whole thread but there are also problems with the battlelog. It sometimes shows 1-2 rounds old maps on the battlelog. The queue is messed up (I mean it always has been but more so lately) where it shows the server is half full but the queue is 10 people. When you join such queue then it will never join the game in the end. Also, the player count just keeps going down when that happens. Oh and also it would sometimes show there are empty slots in the servers but when you join it is 10 people queue. When you refresh the battlelog there are still a lot of available slots. And no, it is not related to the bots seeding the server. I don't remember these battlelog issues from a year ago.
