Battlefield 4 - 2 GTX 780's in SLI

I actually got the EXACT same situation. I've very carefully monitored fps when looking in certain directions, standing at a certain point. Or general fps highs and lows in one spot moving around.

There is absolutely no benifit from having 2 gtx 780 from 1! Atleast not when the single gtx card is clocked. 

SLI support seems incredible poor at the moment. Almost unbelievably poor. The game is in it's current state don't support SLI when it comes to performance. Each card will work less in SLI, but you'll get the same fps or worse.

Very bad this hasn't been adressed since ppl like us bought the extra card for 120+ fps or similar at all times on ultra. I get about average 100 fps with one card atm at ultra with 2xAA.

Yeah, it's ridiculous. 40-50 FPS with an i5 4670k @ 4.2GHz and 2 GTX 780's at 1145MHz.

They really need to improve the SLI support, I get 60-70 with a single card.

SLI is not yet optimized for BF4... Wait for a profile/driver patch/beta driver to be released, specially created to fix this issue. It's actually a common thing -_-

A friend of mine had the exact problem with BF3.
What we did was :

We took the ( top ) card out of the machine. Turned it on and let windows boot up to desktop.
Shut down.
Put the top card back in machine. Turned machine back on.
All of this was done while the ( bottom/ card used to complete SLI ) was still in machine.

150FPS all day.

Like I said... Going on what you've posted... Just a hunch.

i must say it depends on what is your other spec you must give it to as so we can better help but i must say you must have the rig to back up your GPU or it bottlenecks and this happens i my self for now have 4 gtx titans in sli and everything is just flawless still i have the rig to back it up you must tell yours there may be some parts you may need to upgrade to have everything back to top

My rig isn't bottle necking it at all, 16GB Kingston HyperX 1600MHz, i5 4670k @ 4.2GHz, ASUS IV Forumula, H100i and BF4's installing on my SSD.

Just got to wait for a patch I guess, I'll try the tip about the top card, cheers.

I have been working on a solution to this for some time now. And have not had much luck except to disable sli before playing BF4...:/ 

Also I hear rumors of no 3D support.... But anyone try take the top card and remove it and have any success??

I tried using Nvidia 3D Vision 2 and got horrible FPS, literally around 20-30 using SLI. I hope they release a fix for SLI support and better support for 3D soon.

Not tried the removing card trick yet, I'll give it a shot tomorrow.

I am having an issue as well, though I am on the mobile platform.

I have not been able to play the game at all since release, and I was hoping the patch would fix my issue. But sadly it only gave me a few extra FPS. First let me start off by saying that I was able to play the game with everything on Ultra on the beta and maintain 70+ frames with SLI enabled. The SLI support at the time was not perfect, for I was able to push about 50 frames with a single card on beta, but at least it worked. Since release I have not been able to get above 28 frames in multiplayer with SLI enabled, or above 18 frames with just a single card. Campaign frames are twice as bad. I really don't know if this is a driver issue, game optimization issue, or both. The only thing I have changed since beta is that I upgraded from windows 8 to 8.1.

I am running SLI 780Ms with an intel i7 4800MQ ,16gb ram, and a 256gb Samsung 840 Pro SSD.

No one has been able to help me thus far, but maybe since this post has attracted more attention I can find the help I need. Thank you!
