Battlefield 4 - Blurry Crosshair on Sniper rifles

Well, the title says it all.

When I scope in with a sniper rifle in Battlefield 4 the crosshair is quite blurry. But after having the scope in for 15-20 seconds the crosshair gets very sharp (just like I've seen on BF4 Youtube videos and therfore just like it should be). With crosshair I mean the lines and mil-dots of the scope.

My question is what is causing the problem and how do I solve this.

I have the same issue as this guy has/had on BF3: http://battlelog.medalofhonor.com/bf3/forum/threadview/2832654625022966251/last/

Here is a picture I found which is showing the blurred crosshair: http://img11.hostingpics.net/pics/971840blurryscope.jpg

Picture was taken from another forum post about the same problem: http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf3/forum/threadview/2955064766887096857/

I have tried chaning the video settings in the game without any luck.

Answers are as usuallly very much appreciated!

The weapon DOF was set to 'off' when i captured the above video, it makes no difference to the crosshair bug.

    I HATE THIS BUG!

It only makes me more angry that only a few people have this issue. WHY?

If many people of the BF4 community had this issue it would already have been fixed. I have even re-installed the game wihout any progress.

Please guys spread information about this bug so that it will be fixed once and for all. I'm doing my best here.

Thank you and please if you find a solution post it here!

Got the same issue with the 6x 7x 8x 20x 40x scopes, the lines are blurry almost always.

Noticed in test range it turns sharp more often (usually after changing a random graphic setting) but the blur even appears there on first deploy, or comes back later again.

It's not suppression, in fact, it sometimes even un-blurs if you get shot at by other snipers and scope in again/swap weapons back, which is just weird.

    AMD HD5870 here.

Wonder if its video card family specific like the memory leaks. (5000 and 6000 AMD series)

  • Got an Nvidia card myself so it's not just the AMD series that's having that problem. Been searching and searching and I cannot find any kind of solution what-so-ever for this problem. I'm doing just "fine" with the blurry scope lines (maybe I'm just used to it) but it's getting a bit annoying when you're trying to get those perfect shots in and the lines are all blurry.

I'm mostly playing objectives with my 7x scope and I'm doing quite well and the blurry lines arent that much of a deal when the enemies are <100 meters away but anything further and it's getting harder and harder to see.

Guys dont worry I just called EA she took note of that and the update should be out shortly and I also told her about the slow loading if anyone also had that problem

  • In your video settings, have everything the way you want it but your TEXTURE QUALITY setting must be on High or Ultra. Restart game, fixed. :D

The fix is stupid but works... not for me cause I have a * * pc... so out of luck... Just go to video settings and put the Texture quality in minimum High or Ultra less then that gonna make ur scope blurry.
