I had the same problems even though my PC specs were at best with an AMD FX-8350 CPU & a HD7970 GHz & 16GB of ram.
The problem was with the PB of Battlefield 4, the solution is very simple:

- Download from here: http://rapidshare.com/share/355031D85656043DB8AF880F36BA9967 [rapidshare.com]
- extract the .rar to your Gamefolder (Win7: c:/ProgramFiles(x86)/Origin Games/Battlefield 4 Beta/ )
- overwrite existing files
- play.good luck.
I had same problem: first the game window would popup with changing background and "loading" in the corner. Then I start hearing sounds from the game and the console works. If I press ctrl+F4 to close the window it shows picture from within the game.
I've tried reinstall driver, deleted settings, even redownloaded the game, nothing helped.
Then I let it sit at "loading" screen and see what happens. After a minute the changing background disappeared leaving only black screen with "loading" in the corner. So let it sit there for a while and viola, after a few more minutes I was presented with the main menu screen. After that the game loaded quiet quick.
I guess the initial loading is painfully slow, so if it actually not frozen (aka word "loading" is moving and console is accessible via "~" key) then wait for a few minutes
Games has never loaded .. if thus dont have the folder:
C:\Users\Administrator\Documents\Battlefield 4 Beta\settings
... this folder creates the first time game executes ... as in C:\Users\Administrator\Documents\Battlefield 3\settings
Any ideas WHY game havent executede even once ?
Tried EVERYTHING!

the Beta won't run on Intel Dualcores like core 2 duos, core i3s and core i5s at this moment. A handfull of ppl form my clan have this problem, I swapped out my core late 2007 OC'd core 2 duo extreme against a crappy core 2 quad and the game runs, but the thing is so slow I'd rather wait for a patch.
Otherwise its usualy the GPU driver.

Getting this
Installed yesterday, played fine.
Tried this lunch break, stuck on loading screen. Tried over 1/2 an hour and jibbed it off. Views fine in spectator though, just can't get into the game at all.

Choose the server with the lowest ping and Patience is more important just minimize it and wait

I was running my system with a dual screen. Once I set it to display only one screen, it started working.

Just want to let everyone know that the above fix about replacing the pb files works!
