Battlefield 4 can't connect to ea servers on Xbox series s

I get battlefield 4 off game pass but it says it can't connect or it lost connection to ea servers. I got it on the Xbox series s and I've tried reinstalling along with some other tips I got like clearing the Mac address but nothing worked.

@EA_Illium Connection isn't the problem. EA bought DICE. Rumor has it EA dropped server maintenance support for BF4.
EA tech support sends you to DICE, who is owned by EA.
So basically, you're still selling a product that doesn't work beyond typical, sustainable measures with no intention of maintaining the provisions over the rental period ?

@EA_Illium Having the same problem, Battlefield 4 would not "go online" no matter what I tried so I removed the game from Quick Resume (Xbox Series X feature, you do this by tapping the "lines" key below/right of the X). That forces the game to do a full restart, only way I have found to do that hard reset on a game. Bottom-line, that worked.
  • Its Dec 2020. I had the same problem. To solve the problem

    - try to play multiplayer

    - no go of course. can't get on line

    - At this point go back to x box "home". Thats the big xbox button center of controller

    - look below your name and u will see BFF caption because it was the last game u were on-

    - click on the 3 lines on your controller

    - scroll down to X QUIT and tap A

    - Thats it!

Start the game back over and your back on line.
