Battlefield 4 CTE executes BF4.exe instead of BF4cte.exe

I've encountered this problem just this evening where firstly, the bf4cte.exe would not start up after waiting for a long time and closing it via task manager due to limited patience.  Then when I tried to join a server a few minutes later on the CTE Battlelog, BF4.exe starts up instead (the normal BF4), and after a few seconds loading the CTE server with a bf4.exe, it realises it's using a wrong executable and crashes while the CTE battlelog still says "joining server".  Something odd is happening with my CTE Battlelog, mainly, the team tickets that keeps loading without finishing on the servers tab.  Also, when I tried to go to the CTE Battlelog, it was as if it detected that my computer hasn't installed any BF4cte files whereas I already did (38GB) because it asked to reload my game? I already tried repairing but it didn't help.
