Even though the game has controller support, I can't activate my DS4.
What do i need to do?
Only Xbox controllers are natively supported. PlayStation controllers might work with Steam Input translating Direct Input to XInput. Battlefield only accepts XInput.

You can use gamepad input mapper to emulate your controller to xbox controller.

Hi lNAPPROPRlATE Just an FYI that DS4Windows is not allowed by the anti-cheat and could potentially lead to a ban. The same applies for most emulators, such as reWASD etc.

For real? Then how non xbox controller users should use their expensive controllers? Me for example... i use 2 Logitech joystick to fly in battlefield. Without app from x360ce it is not possible. So i guess i'm been just lucky not getting banned without any good reason?
It's hard to say if certain apps might trigger a ban or not. There's probably less chance of Steam Input triggering a ban since EA sells games on Steam Store.
Yep, I'm afraid so. Both DS4Windows and reWASD were added to what the anti-cheat looks for as both can be used to gain an unfair advantage. Using any third-party software comes with a risk.
However, the Steam overlay that OskooI_007 mentioned is allowed. DS4 controllers are also natively supported for some Battlefield games too, from what I gather, it's just the button mapping that can be problematic.
Then i'll take the risk and keep using x360ce. I don''t cheat i simply assign one joystick to left thumb and one joystick to right thumb.
All started after i was watching that guy using 2 joysticks to fly and i bought same day 2 for myself.. BTW i still can't fly lol.
