Battlefield 4 "DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL THE LATEST BROWSER PLUGIN TO PLAY THE GAME."

So I bought and downloaded the game, and I was surprised to find that it has to go through a web browser to start the game. (I mean, come on, why is it even like that?) So I went to try to actually play the game and I get  "DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL THE LATEST BROWSER PLUGIN TO PLAY THE GAME." So I go and try to download it, the installer (or whatever it is) downloads at the bottom of my browser (Google Chrome), and I click it. Of course, this pops of the regular message "Do you want to allow the following program to make changes to your computer?". I click yes, something pops up (which I assume is the window that downloads everything) then it closes without me being able to read anything off of it. It all repeats when I try to play the game.

I have seen posts simular to this, but not anything exactly the same. Anyone know how to fix it?
